Charity Of The Month: The Abram Wilson Foundation
Throughout August, the charitable donation from all tickets bought through Party For The People will be donated to the London-based arts education charity Abram Wilson Foundation. This means that every time you go out and enjoy live music this month, you’ll be helping the next generation of musicians provide it in the future!
The Abram Wilson Foundation do brilliant work supporting disadvantaged young people, primarily through the creative workshops they run in schools throughout London and Birmingham. Since 2015 the charity has worked with 5 schools and youth organisations reaching over 5,000 secondary school children aged between 11 and 16 with assemblies, pop-up performances and workshops. Their ‘Achieve Your Greatness’ arts programme aims to get kids involved in the arts from a young age whether that's learning to make music, direct, write or dance.
They also support talented emerging, and mid-tier artists through their ‘Career Development Programme’ which provides strategic support and access to industry professionals who will be able to help them make the most of their musical journeys.
