Cult classic Human Traffic to get sequel
A sequel to cult '90s film Human Traffic is in the works, it has been announced. The original movie, which followed a group of ravers over the course of a drug-fuelled weekend in Cardiff, starred Danny Dyer, John Simm and Lorraine Pilkington. The sequel was announced at an event celebrating the 20th anniversary of the original film on the 6th April.
Justin Kerrigan, the writer and director behind the original classic, said at the event that the sequel will be a response to current political events. He said: “it’s about one race, the human race, and a reaction to Brexit. We love you people and we can’t wait to see you again.” Back in 2016, Danny Dyer called Moff “one of my favourite characters ever”.
Speaking to Mixmag, Justin Kerrigan confirmed Danny Dyer, Shaun Parkes and Nicola Reynolds, among others, are set to reprise their roles in the upcoming production.
The film is reportedly already written with UK distribution secured.
