Polish music collective announce compilation in support of LGBTQ+ charities
After a spate of violence during Białystok’s LGBTQ+ Pride celebrations in July, Poland’s dance music community have banded together, showing solidarity with those subjected to the assault and harassment by right-wing protesters. Labels and festivals including Unsound and Brutaż have united in solidarity with the victims.
In the light of recent events in Poland it's more urgent than ever to support the LGBT+ community. We encourage you to come today at 18:30 to the Krakow City Hall at pl. Wszystkich Świętych, so we can show solidarity together. More information here: https://t.co/vCSM3KLCyu— Unsound (@unsound) July 25, 2019

In addition, DIY collective Oramics have assembled a 113 track compilation to raise money for the country’s grassroots LGBTQ+ charities. Named Total Solidarity and released in collaboration with the New York Haunted label, the compilation features Peder Mannerfelt, Lee Gamble, object blue, Varg, Rui Ho, Dale Cornish, Borusiade and Drvg Cvltvre.
In a statement, Oramics stated: "All proceeds from the digital sales will support Polish queer organizations: Kampania Przeciw Homofobii and Miłość Nie Wyklucza, who monitor homophobia, provide all kind of support for queer people and have agreed to help us redistribute the proceeds throughout LGBTQIA+ organizations in smaller cities and towns of Poland, who need them the most."
