We're back for more worldwide grooves, tropical beats and some cake too!

In the 12 months we've been in Manchester Esa has delivered undoubtedly the most exciting set we've witnessed and it's a pleasure to have him back for our birthday celebrations.

The Rememory label head will be bringing his 'toilet seat' Roland HPD-10 along once again and anyone who caught him first time round will know this ain't one to miss.

Support also comes from Groove Kitchen residents and a few guests. Bring only your finest party vibes for this one.

ESA

Hailing from South Africa, the adopted Glaswegian added to the city’s thriving music scene in every way possible during his 7 years in the city. Conducting workshops on behalf of Ableton, Red Bull Music Academy and Apple and working dance floors across town by night. An integral part of the Auntie Flo live set up, Esa has played at Europe’s leading venues including Fabric, Razzmatazz, Corsica Studios, The Arches, Snafu and Plastic People and Sub Club where he held a residencies with Huntelys and Palmers and Subculture. His music has also taken him as far away as Cuba and right back to his motherland of South Africa for appearances at the Cape Town Electronic Music Festival and the Lake of Stars in Malawi.

Having shared the bill with everyone from Richie Hawtin to Shangaan Electro to Scuba his diverse sets take you on a journey from Cuba to Detroit and Cape Town to Berlin. Strong support for both his production and mixing skills has come from heavyweights XLR8R and Resident Advisor, particularly for his Afro Futurism Fabric mix.

Production wise Esa has found home for his solo work on the cow themed Burek imprint, Omena, and his own labels Highlife and Rememory. Esa has also lent his hand to Auntie Flo, Burnt Island Casuals with The Revenge and Harri and Prophets of The South with OOFT, which saw releases on Tief and Huntleys + Palmers.
