An evening of cutting-edge UK improvisation, with all proceeds going towards funding the second annual Brighton Alternative Jazz Festival in September 2016. Featuring:

CATH ROBERTS / PETER MARSH / PAUL MAY
Cath Roberts plays baritone sax with Sloth Racket and Ripsaw Catfish. For one night only, she joins Marsh and May, the bass and drums team behind psychdedlic trance-jazz outifit Woven Entity.

IAN BRIGHTON
Emerging in the 1970s as an improvising guitarist in the Derek Bailey school, Ian Brighton has just returned from retirement to release his first new album in nearly 40 years. This will be a very special, impossibly rare, solo performance.

SETH BENNETT / ANTON HUNTER / TOM WARD
First ever public performance from the trio of double-bassist Seth Bennett (En Bas Quartet, Sloth Racket), electric guitarist Anton Hunter (Sloth Racket, Ripsaw Catfish, Beck Hunters) and saxophonist Tom Ward (Madwort).

IN THREADS
Verity Spott (cello), James Parsons (drums) and Dan Spicer (wind, piano, percussion) sketch nippily abrupt spontaneous compositions.

All this for just £7 – and all in aid of Brighton Alternative Jazz Festival 2016. Do come.
