Trinity's IGNiTE Spring 2017 Artist in Residence Sara Dos Santos will provide a relaxed, dynamic and technical dance class using a combination of Release, Horton and Graham techniques infusing floor work and contact improvisation. Highly influenced by music and rhythm, each class will offer participants the opportunity to use a full range of body movements that will build up strength, agility, accuracy and flow. Through a variation of sequences dancers will have the opportunity experiment with breath, self-expression and drew from personal experience.

Please Note: These classes are for professional dancers or artists with a strong dance background. You are welcome to attend one class or a combination of all three.
Sara Dos Santos is an independent movement artist and choreographer. Upon graduating from Bird College in 2007 where she studied Musical Theatre and Dance, Sara went on to further her training at Alvin Ailey School in 2010 and explore afro cuban techniques at Cuba Danza with Danza Contemporanea de Cuba in 2012.
Sara’s current artistic focus is researching philosophies and exploring methodologies that interweave dance theatre, therapeutic methods and story telling mediums. Her thought provoking and emotionally charged work tackles a variety of social and political issues that raise awareness and inspire change through dance theatre productions.
