MALIKA COLLECTIVE
Malika Collective was born out of a jam session and collaboration between George Risk (Guitarist and Band Leader) and Ru Lemer (Keyboards and Engineer). With the addition of bass player composer and arranger Dave O'Brien and 2 drum kit players, Harry Pope and Peter Hill the bare bones of the outfit was formed. A 4 piece horn section and soulful lead vocalist Jordan Phaorah complete the line up.

The musicians draw from a wide range of styles including Jazz, Funk, Soul, Afro beat, Motown, Hip Hop, Samba, Bossa Nova, producing a modern fusion of these genres with a psychedelic edge.

With their debut EP to be released early next year you can expect to see them on next years festival circuit. Expect fast ranging tempos and strong back beats all with the aim of making you dance the night away.
