La Roux DJ Set
DIY Space for London, London
Friday, 16 Mar 2018 – Saturday, 17 Mar 2018
19:30 – 02:00
We're really excited to announce that La Roux is headlining our next fundraiser with a banging DJ set at the DIY Space for London on Friday the 16th of March.
Mickey O'Brien - Born near Tooting, Mickey O’Brien has been tearing around London and playing in bands since she was a nipper. She’s been darlings of synth pop, La Roux’s live keyboardist since 2008. You know those massive synth hooks on almost every song? That’s Mickey.
Test Department DJ Set - Sonic material handlers, investigative agitators, authentic industrialists, utilisers and recyclers of society's debris
Burning Down The House DJ Set - BDTH is a queer disco night, featuring disco, new wave, synthpop, post-punk and glam classics and discoveries. Expect to hear the sounds of Boney M fade into The Slits
Lawn Flamingo Live - Merging danceable indie electro with the raw aggression of grunge and punk. People have compared Lawn FLamingo's sound to The Rapture, The Prodigy, Crystal Castles, Gang of Four and Boards of Canada
Sparkling Duet Live - An instrumental electric guitar duo from NZ playing classic & obscure 50's & 60’s surf, psych and rockabilly tunes
All monies raised go directly into the Picturehouse strike fund
Tickets are £10/£8 concession
Doors 7.30pm. Bands from 8.30pm
Food will be on sale from the lush Bonnington Café, we'll have a merch stall with our T shirts and posters for sale and you can do live Screen Printing with our very own designer Marc Cowan.
