We're super excited about this corker of a line up! Once again bringing together some of our abs faves from around the country.

Irma Vep + band (Glasgow)

Irma Vep is a loner, a joker, a roamer, a ribald construct riddled with both earnest anxiety and mercurial songwriting talent birthed by a young Edwin Stevens in Llanfairfechan, North Wales.

Stevens moonlights in several other groups (Sex Hands, Klaus Kinski, Desmadrados Soldados De Ventura, Yerba Mansa…), but it's in Irma Vep that his most life-affirming, troubling and thrilling music is made. Much Irma Vep feels like what "classic" music should feel like if it weren't so Classic. Each record, each song and each performance exists as an evolving drama.

Edwin has toured the West Coast of America. He tours the UK and Europe “butt loads”. BBC 6 Music regularly spin his work. And you may have seen him performing at that Crack Cloud show at Delicious Clam last summer, the one that everyone was still going on about at Christmas. It goes without saying that we're very excited to have him return, and this time with the whole band.

Me Lost Me (Newcastle)

Me Lost Me is the solo electronic music project of Jayne Dent; a collision of thudding rhythms, lush vocal drones and haunting melodies. Using the voice as her main instrument alongside the concertina and bodhrán, she electronically manipulates and samples sounds to create a unique, folk-influenced experimental pop music.

Dent has performed on BBC Radio 3's "Exposure", at the first Manchester Folk Horror Festival and headlined Northern Electric Festival. Debut album 'Arcana' (2018) bears repeat listens, and with a follow up EP due summer 2019 Me Lost Me is proving to be as prolific as she is innovative.

We've been buzzing about Me Lost Me since seeing her 'When You Were Born' Live Session video last September, and we can not wait to finally hear her perform.

R.Loomes (Notts/Sheff)

R. Loomes recently made the move from Nottingham to Sheffield and we're very grateful for it. Something of a regular at Nottingham's JT Soar, Loomes crafts moody, atmospheric electric-guitar and voice compositions with lots of big, dark spaces and drifting points of light.

Most recent EP 'Moonsong at Morning' reveals a musician rapidly developing and honing their artistic voice; and we're going to be keeping a big old ear out for whatever she does next.
