Long Legged Creatures
> Long Legged Creatures are a 4-piece dance outfit that place themselves on a spectrum between post-rock and UK garage. Their unique blend of ever-twisting live electronica has shaped the band’s live set into some hybrid between a groove laden DJ set and a hardcore punk gig. With some heavy hitting shows under their belt, playing alongside the likes of Necktr, Noya Rao, Slow Loris and Yussef Dayes, at venues such as Hyde Park Book Club, Belgrave Music Hall and Brudenell Social Club, Creatures’ knack for getting it started has earned them not-to-be-missed status in Leeds’ fruitful DIY scene.

Open Call Entries (now closed)
Hatch recently posted an open call out for experimental vocals-based pieces on the theme of 'fragmentation' to tie in with the overarching vibe of the Executive Lunchtime Cleanse Retreat.
We are incredibly excited to announce the following two yogis who will be partaking in this:
> Vocal Soundscapes/ Live looping / choral/ noise
Newcastle-based multi-disciplinary artist Lindsay Duncanson’s work “concerns people and space and how our relationship to landscape is mediated through culture and history; how we negotiate the sublime, the unimaginable, the beauty and fear of modern life” Pinnel has previously performed at Tusk Festival, and is also a co-founder of experimental vocal group noizechoir.
> Glitch Turntablism/ noise
Jonathan Higgins is a sound artist based in London whose work focuses on the utilisation of noise. His latest project Glitch Turntablism was born out of a frustration with digital DJ equipment. CDJs and DJ software primarily imitates vinyl; instead, Jonathan has modified CD players to uncover the noise hidden within digital audio and utilises these to manipulate audio live.
> Ambient/ electronic/ vocal loops from Phoneutrian and Fizzy
> Experimental/ ambient/ electronic/ atmospheric sound poetry
Bredbeddle (Fractal Meat Cuts)
> Experimental sound collages created from live sampled vinyl
> Improvised dark-folk and decaying-church music from Rowan Tinker
Out of the Swamp
> Dearthworms - Live and real punk band of sickly musicians based at Hatch. Nauseous sounds, repetition and lots of shouting.
> Mesmeric synth-pop from member of Drunk in Hell, Vanishing, collaborator with the great and good (Thurston Moore, Rian Treanor and more)
James Ewan Tait
> Sheffield based experimental singer-songwriter, weaving wistful melodies and off kilter guitar lines. Crack shot.
> Furious Glasgow Sludge Punk
> dancey/ discordant post-punk - absolute wild scenes last time they played for Small Ideas.
> Ultra maximalist drums/guitar/electronic duo, consisting of Sam & Alex from Sheffield's beloved former Blood Sport. For fans of Zs, chaos.
> Satirical art-punk band from Bristol. Super wild live performance with a creepily restrained music - FFO The Birthday Party
IN TO THE VOID
> Off Me Nut founder Tich turns his hand to live coded space house, including vocoder choruses. Absolutely brilliant.
DJ Human Sacrifice
> 'Fun' DJ alter-ego of Off Me Nut founder, lord of chaos, eater of over 250 steak canadians, The South Yorkshire Mick Hucknall. Expect to hear Temptation played about 400 times.
> Cutting-edge electronic music - techno, house, industrial EBM, and more leftfield selections.
> Oscilliating between ambient openers, leftfield techno and thumping deconstructed club beats. Hesska is currently held up as one of the most forward thinking DJs in the north at the moment, and her NTS show Castles In the Sky is a must hear.
Force Majeure DJs
> 140 bpm full communism
> UK Bass / Ballroom / Rhythms from Hyperstition Duo drummer Sam. She's got a long heritage of amazing DJ sets in Sheffield under Hybrid Vigour so this one's not to be missed!
Delicious Clam DJs
> Our DIY pals from Delicious Clam will be trekking all the way over from their Delicious HQ, bringing the tastiest Clam tunes in to the heart of the Hatch void.
