For its very first party, Lo.Tek is delighted to present some of Sheffield’s best hidden delicacies of underground electronic music in the speakeasy cellar of Sidney & Matilda. This city-centre factory space is now an independent gallery showcasing art, music, theatre, comedy and sport. We can’t wait to get our soundsystem and Sheffield’s creative talent down into its party basement!

Poppers Revival + Special Guests - Live junglism from Sheffield's finest rhythm deities... expect a high NRG jump-up set from this DIY boogie juggernaut. Melding tribal drums with live didgeridoo, flute, EWI and sub-bass undertoad this is a going to go OFF with the soundsystem we have in store. Not only do we have a brand-new-material Poppers set, but they will be joined by members of the amazing Solar Love Society to recreate some classic rave tunes! Riotous dancefloor guaranteed!!
Vox Cornelius - Live looper who performs original electronic music using only voice, a loop station and beatbox techniques. Expect D&B, dubstep, reggae, house and the unexpected! His signature sound of layered mellow vocals backed by breakbeats builds up throughout his set, along with tempo changes and sounds you never thought possible with the human voice. Deeper explorations into the experimental side of music production from Vox to come on the night!
Bob Kickflip - Bringing Steel City breaks, twisted sounds, glitch, dirty basslines & circuit bent madness straight to your ears, Kickflip is now established as one of breakbeat's most respected producer/DJs. Having played gigs up and down the country and overseas, Bob's music has inspired producers across the globe. His productions encompass a wide range of styles, taking in influences from funk, drum and bass, house, hip hop and old skool hardcore. DJ I Don’t Mind - Bringing plenty of sub and deep eclectic mixes somewhere around 140bpm, we welcome Ethan rigside to open up the night. Born and raised in the Sheffield party scene with a bunch of other great musical projects under his wing, he’s guaranteed to get the air moving down in the cellar.
Lo.Tekno - Acid techno and an old school rumble to finish off the night, no shortage of heavyweight vinyl in the bag to keep the rig rocking and the dancefloor popping. Builder of speakers, tinkerer of electronics & Tekno fanatic, lets get ‘avvinnitt.
