Buttery Toast Presents: A Celebration in Memory of Robert Frome
Unit 58, London
Saturday, 25 Jul 2020 – Sunday, 26 Jul 2020
21:00 – 04:00
Buttery Toast was born out of a frustration at the decline in house parties in London as people increasingly move into small flats that they don’t wanna mess up. It felt like there was a gap in our lives that needed filling. We wanted to take something of the house party - the carefree feeling and the sense that everyone is mutually connected by one or two degrees of separation - and combine it with the chaos and fun of a warehouse party. Naturally this costs to put on so we get people to pay for entry, but we’re not doing this out of a desire to make money so 100% of our ticket profits go straight to a chosen charity. This time it will be Centrepoint, which is a charity Rob loved. (https://centrepoint.org.uk/).
Buttery Toast Presents a celebration in memory of our friend Robert Frome, and will take place round the time of his birthday. He loved bringing people together and this event will do just that! We're curating a wonderful musical landscape for the evening. There will be a magical mixture of disco, 80s and 90s classics, hip hop and some other musical numbers Rob loved. We will be collaborating with some friends from the Royal College of Art to bring film and sculpture installations into the space.
This is our 5th event. Our other events massively exceeded our expectations - selling out in advance to rave reviews, whilst raising money for donate4refugees. There are no tickets on the door so order your tickets beforehand!
We can't wait to see you there
