19:00 – 22:30

Punk in Drublic Poetry is over the moon to present the In-Person launch of Rob Steventon's Debut Poetry Collection through Flapjack Press: How I Made My Millions.
Joining Rob will be a killer host of special guests: Thick Richard, Dave Viney, Steph Lonsdale, Michael Manion & Molly McGuinness.
A bit about Rob and his bloody book:
Journeying from coming of age, coming to Manchester and coming to terms with life, Rob Steventon wrangles humour from the more preposterous – and disgraceful – aspects of modern society.
Political, radical and filled with social commentary, astute wit and comic observation, How I Made My Millions proves that accessible poetry is not the sole property of advertising companies.
Rob Steventon has been peddling poetry since 2013 and has been Champion of Manchester’s Word War and York’s Say Owt poetry slams. He is the founder and director of Punk in Drublic Poetry, a regular event at which performance poetry and stand-up comedy violently clash. All of Punk in Drublic Poetry’s door fees are donated to Mustard Tree Homelessness charity. Rob is not a millionaire. He would be grateful if you could lend him a tenner.

“Relatable, funny and poignant poetics. A brilliant addition to the UK poetry scene.” – Dave Viney, spoken word artist
“A vital new voice in stand-up poetry. Young, angry and most importantly, very funny.” – Kate Fox, stand-up poet
“Rob tells his generation’s story with style, wisdom and humour.” – Attila the Stockbroker, poet & musician
“His words are inventive, surprising, political, accessible and really laugh-out-loud funny.” – Dominic Berry, Glastonbury Festival poet-in-residence
“It’s no coincidence that performance poetry became more popular once Rob got involved.” – Thick Richard, spoken word artist
